Gain confidence in saving lives with the essential skills of CPR and the automated external defibrillation for pediatric and adult patients. Feel empowered to recognize life-threatening emergencies and respond with Heart & Stroke's Standard First Aid by assessing the situation and providing recovery treatment until emergency medical services arrive.
Skills gained in this course will allow you to treat airway emergencies; cardiac arrest; bleeding lacerations; head and spine injuries; fractures; and bone, muscle, and joint stresses during realistic scenarios for one- and two-person providers. Upon successful completion of this course will attain the prerequisite qualifications for the Emergency Medical Responder program and the Medical First Responder Program.
