Course Overview
The Hazardous Locations Fundamentals course, offered in partnership with EngWorks, will provide students with a solid foundation for designing, selecting, installing, troubleshooting, and inspecting electrical equipment for use in hazardous locations. Based on Canadian Electrical Code requirements, this course will cover the various explosion protection concepts, intrinsic safety, and the use of gas detection for equipment protection. Wiring and sealing methods are also discussed in the context of the new 2024 Canadian Electrical Code.
