Course Overview

Master basement electrical work! This hands-on weekend course will walk students through the essential steps in carrying out electrical work as part of their own basement project.

Explore the important electrical challenges typically encountered during a basement renovation, such as installing wiring, electrical outlets, and lighting, including three-way switches. Students will familiarize themselves with the relevant codes, permits, and inspection processes that apply to their project.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will know which parts of the work they can safely do on their own and which parts require an expert. Students should bring their own safety glasses and tape measure to class.
