Course Overview

Academic writing requires precision, organization, and adherence to research conventions. This course builds advanced writing proficiency, emphasizing grammar, structure, and research-based composition. Participants will explore multiple academic writing genres, including data analysis, argumentative essays, and research-informed writing. The course also reinforces the application of APA formatting for citations and references.

With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to develop well-structured academic texts, analyze data in writing, and apply research conventions to produce clear, credible, and professional compositions.

Successful completion of the NAIT English for Academic Purposes Level 6 courses meets the English Language Proficiency requirement for entry into programs at NAIT.
