Course Overview

Build your practical knowledge of power engineering topics related to industrial plants and heavy industry, including heating plants, pulp and paper operations, and oil industry operations. Explore thermodynamics, elementary mechanics, safety, piping, high-pressure boilers and feedwater treatment. If you have experience working with low- or high-pressure plants or if you are interested in working in industrial settings, then this course is right for you.

With the knowledge that you gain in this course, you will be able to prepare for the Fourth Class Provincial Exam: Part A.

Recommended: Grade 10 English, Mathematics and Physics or equivalent.

Textbooks must be purchased for this course.
