Please fill out and submit the following form to provide information about the partnership opportunity you wish to explore and possibly develop with NAIT.
The information you provide will be reviewed by NAIT’s International Advisory Committee. If the request is eligible for further consideration, details will be shared with relevant internal groups such as academic programs and NAIT leadership and someone will be in touch with you for further discussion.
Types of academic partnerships that you could have with NAIT
Field school
NAIT defines field school as a short-term, instructor-led global experience, delivered locally or abroad, where students engage with different cultures as they apply learning from their program of study. Field school can be completed in partnership with industry, another educational institution or not-for-profit organizations.
Study tour
Like field school, study tours are also instructor-led, but students do not engage in applied learning. Study tours are guided international experiences where students visit sites and meet with instructor-selected groups. Activities may include tours of local industry facilities, attending presentations or lectures and visiting other educational institutions.
International internship
International internships give NAIT students an opportunity to practice what they have learned in a real-world, international work environment with a recognized industry partner. These internships provide applied, hands-on learning.
Reciprocal exchange
NAIT’s polytechnic model is strongly aligned with specific occupational and industry standards. This impacts the types of reciprocal exchange that are acceptable for NAIT programs.
To help us evaluate program fit, please indicate which programs and courses align with NAIT program and course equivalents. Note that, to meet regulatory requirements, courses transferred from partner institutions to NAIT must meet an 80% alignment threshold. Search NAIT programs and review the relevant program curriculum before submitting your request.
Articulation agreements
Articulation agreements with other post-secondary institutions provide pathways for students to build upon their NAIT education and enhance their learning with an intercultural experience. Students receive recognition and/or transfer credit from both NAIT and an international partner institution.
