NAIT’s 150km Club is on the move!
Did you know it is recommended that adults aged 18-64 accumulate at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity per week? Regular physical activity can help improve your overall physical and mental well-being, and the 150km Club is here to help NAIT students and staff achieve their 150 minutes of physical activity each week.
What is the 150km Club?
The 150km Club is about moving your body more often – it’s as simple as that. That means participants can choose to walk, play basketball, go for a swim, skate on a pond – whatever gets them moving. A conversion chart and log sheet will help you convert minutes of activity into kilometers making it easy to choose anything to reach your 150km goal! Upon completion of 150km of movement, participants will receive a limited edition 150km Club Member Cup while supplies last and have their name added to our Celebration Wall outside O-117. But that’s not it, there is also a chance to win weekly prizes by achieving milestones which equal entries into the draws along the way.
What is the objective of the 150km Club?
The goals of this self-directed club are:
- To get NAIT students and staff to move more often
- To increase awareness of the physical and mental benefits of exercise
- To test out new recreation activities and find out what moderate to vigorous intensity feels like
- To share information about Campus Recreation programs and services available to NAIT students and staff
When does it start and who can participate?
The 150km Club will run January 27 to April 3, 2020. It is open to all current NAIT staff and students.

Fitness Buddy Program
Campus Recreation Services want to connect like-minded students with similar goals and interests to support each other's physical and social well-being. We will help arrange your first meeting, provide information on what programs and services are offered on campus, and help you and your new Fitness Buddy to find an activity to participate in together!
Students are invited to Campus Recreation’s drop-in well-being lounge. Located in E-105 (near the South Lobby), NAIT students can relax and recharge throughout the day in a quiet, restful space with comfortable furniture and ambient light.
