Course Overview

Prepare yourself for a career in information and communication technology. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge on how computers work, how to assemble computers, and how to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

The Cisco Networking Academy - IT Essentials curriculum covers the fundamentals and advanced concepts of computers hardware and software, troubleshooting skills, networking, security, and IT professional professionalism. The course’s content and labs encompass new technologies and help you prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification exams, 220-1001 and 220-1002.

Graduates of this course will demonstrate critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills. You will also be able to describe PC assembly, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting processes, networking concepts, Windows installation, and network security.
