Course Overview

Enhance your 3D Revit Residential skills to create great residential wood frame designs by modelling basic walls, floors, roof, ceilings, fascia, and more. Revit is a robust architectural design and documentation software used by home designers, residential renovators, architects, structural engineers, interior designers and decorators, building professionals, and contractors. Revit’s tools and features are specifically designed for buildings to support BIM workflows and leverages dynamic information so that complex building structures can be accurately designed and documented in a virtual environment, minimizing the time it takes to coordinate and design. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to model a simple home using the fundamental features of Revit. As a participant in this course, you will be able to model floor plans and create the elevations and sections simultaneously. Modelled drawing packages can be used for contractor quantity takeoffs, building permits, design discussion, and more. You can apply plan production workflows, create the design phase, and apply BIM to Revit projects to residential themed projects and wood framed construction.
