Industry Engagement

NAIT's School of Health and Life Sciences prides itself on providing students with hands-on educational opportunities that are highly relevant and beneficial in their journey to become an allied health professional.

That means our students receive a wealth of practical learning opportunities with the equipment and technology used in today's medical facilities. They work with real patients in a controlled teaching environment and gaining highly-specialized clinical skills – cornerstones of programs in NAIT's School of Health and Life Sciences.

Industry Consultation

Each year, our programs are reviewed by members of our program advisory councils (PACs) to ensure students are learning everything they need to be successful in the workforce. Topics discussed include program curriculum and desired outcomes, new industry innovations and challenges and program needs such as equipment, work-integrated learning participants and field trip opportunities.

The education we provide includes training with industry-standard tools and equipment, field trips and labs that provide hands-on learning, and work-integrated learning experiences that puts student learning to the test.

Hiring Our Students

Many of our programs include the option for students to apply professional skills and theoretical understanding in a workplace setting through work-integrated learning experiences. In turn, you get well-trained employees for a designated period of time with the potential to bring them back after graduation. It is a great way to provide students work-related opportunities while also seeing what they can offer your company.
