Course Overview

Enhance your IT career by being able to prevent and monitor network vulnerabilities. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to optimize and apply effective firewall rules for converged networks.

This course provides the essential background, definitions, and concepts of network security. Graduates of this course will be able to assess common security threats, describe security measures for network equipment, describe password recovery procedures for CISCO devices, and implement IOS ACLs. Graduates will also be able to resolve common Layer 2 attacks and install SSH and SDM.

It is recommended that you complete CCTM103, IP Routing Fundamentals, and CCTM203, LAN Switching Fundamentals, or have equivalent training or knowledge.
