Course Overview

This course develops your skills and knowledge of bookkeeping. In level II, discover how to complete journal entries to record basic payroll and create a payroll remittance (PD7A) for CRA. Journalize entries related to GST/HST/PST and remittances. Explore Contra Accounts and how they are used. Differentiate between a Fiscal Year and a Calendar Year.

With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to perform the day-to-day and monthly bookkeeping tasks required for a small service business. Additionally, you will be able to reconcile a bank account, compile a basic Balance Sheet and Income Statement from a Trial Balance, and create GST/HST returns.

It is required that you complete CCTO100 Bookkeeping Level 1 or equivalent prior to taking this course.
