Course Overview

Start building and launching apps quickly using prebuilt templates, low-code tools, and rapid deployment features. This course encourages continuous improvement as you refine and expand your applications. As a foundational course, you’ll learn how to connect your app to common data sources such as Excel files stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint lists. You’ll create user-friendly forms to collect, view, and update data directly within your app.

Power Apps offers a powerful set of features that enable users to build custom business applications without traditional coding. Power Apps allows integration with hundreds of data sources such as SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, and SQL, and the use of Power Fx—a formula-based language similar to Excel—for logic and automation. Power Apps supports mobile and desktop deployment, allows for native device integration (camera, GPS, microphone, etc.), and works seamlessly with other Microsoft 365 services like Power Automate, Teams, and Power BI, making it an ideal platform for modern, connected business solutions.

To get the most out of this course, participants should have a strong working knowledge of Excel formulas and functions. Experience with InfoPath or Microsoft Access forms is helpful but not required. Familiarity with SharePoint Lists will also enhance your ability to work with connected data sources effectively.

Note: Course is delivered using Zoom.
