Course Overview
Effective web design extends beyond layout—it includes usability, strategy, accessibility, and measurable performance. This course equips web designers and developers with foundational skills in content strategy, writing for the web, microformats, and analytics. Participants will explore how to make websites more accessible, user-centered, and search engine–friendly while meeting usability and legal standards.
With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to apply usability testing and analytics tools to optimize web content and ensure your site meets user needs and industry standards.
This course is taught using Open Source tools and browser add-ons which you can download and install on your own computer for free.
Prior to enrollment in this course it is recommended that you complete CCTW300, Web Design Level III.
