Course Overview
Canadian law requires any person who ships, handles, or transports dangerous goods to be trained in accordance with Transport Canada standards. This course will provide you the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification needed to obtain, maintain, or enhance your employment.
Developed to meet all of Transport Canada’s training requirements under Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations, graduates of this course will be able to describe all aspects of the TDG guidelines and standards.
At the end of this course you will be able to describe goods classifications, and the responsibilities of shippers, handlers, and transporters. You will also be able to describe the importance of Emergency Response Plans (ERAP) and be able to differentiate different TDG placards, labels and safety marks, as well as container and containment types.
Upon successful completion, students will be issued a recognized Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate within 3 days.
