James Ayres began life well-travelled, as his family moved first from an army base in Germany, to Scotland, Channel Islands, Montreal, and small towns in Ontario. James developed his own sense of the value of a good education, and strived hard to enter University. James would think of his university years as his most successful, having been challenged to think creatively, work as a team, give back to the community, and broaden his social activities. James parted university with two degrees and an internship, and moved west for new adventures. As an instructor he challenged his students regularly but always brought humour and personal experience into the classroom. Sadly, James left us in March 2011.
