About the Program
The Building Environment Systems Technology program provides access to advanced career opportunities not available with the one-year Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration Technician certificate. It is tailored to students looking for advance credit in the refrigeration trade or engineering-related employment in the technical and professional sector of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) industry.
To be accepted into this second-year program, students must have completed the one-year Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration Technician certificate program or be a Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.

- Successful completion of HVAC Specialist certificate or the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician certificate with a minimum GPA of 2.0
