Boilermakers fabricate and maintain boilers and other vessels like tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors and ships. They usually work in confined spaces in fabrication shops and heavy industrial sites, both indoors and out.
The ability to work on so many different kinds of projects boosts the employment prospects of boilermakers. The diversity can also keep the work fresh and interesting.
Since NAIT is the only institute in Alberta providing boilermaker training, you can look forward to learning with our province’s best instructors.
We'll guide you through the steps to apply on Tradesecrets. Apprenticeship intakes can fill quickly, so apply early to secure your spot and get started.

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
