Cabinetmakers are woodworkers who build custom wood products such as furniture, cabinetry, and architectural millwork. They also program and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment and create detailed shop drawings.
Cabinetmakers primarily work in indoor shop environments such as architectural millwork shops, custom kitchen businesses, furniture manufacturers, or their own businesses.
NAIT’s cabinetmaker apprenticeship program fosters your skills with expert teaching from experienced instructors in shops designed to reflect real-world working conditions.
We'll guide you through the steps to apply on Tradesecrets. Apprenticeship intakes can fill quickly, so apply early to secure your spot and get started.

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
