Glass is everywhere – every home, every car, every skyscraper and low-rise. Glaziers create and care for it.
Specifically, they cut, fit, install and replace all kinds of glass and the aluminum frames that hold it. Glaziers can work in residential, commercial or industrial settings, suspended from a high-rise or inside an autobody shop. They play a crucial role in Alberta’s economy, since they are needed on every residential and commercial construction project and beyond. Demand for some aspects of glazing is seasonal, though repair work is very steady.
This apprenticeship will turn you into a glazier through a mix of paid training on the job and technical instruction at NAIT, where our facilities are carefully designed to recreate real-world working conditions.
We'll guide you through the steps to apply on Tradesecrets. Apprenticeship intakes can fill quickly, so apply early to secure your spot and get started.

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
