Roofer Apprenticeship

Roofing is a trade built around the essential need for shelter. Roofers enable new construction, protect property values, and support many different industries. Due to the need for repairs, demand for roofers is also very steady. 

In the simplest terms, roofers prepare and apply protective coverings to all kinds of roofs on all types of buildings. But roofing is a diverse trade. Roofers can work with shingles, shakes, metal flashings or tiles, as well as modified plastics, elastomeric or asphaltic compositions. They can waterproof concrete and other masonry above and below ground level. They can even set up scaffolding to provide safe access to their work.

NAIT has been training roofers since the 1970s. You’ll learn from our experienced, dedicated instructors. Your technical training will take place in workshops carefully designed to recreate real-world working conditions.
