If you flip on your TV or radio at any given time, you’re likely to see or hear a graduate from this program working across North America. NAIT offers two distinct yet interconnected full-time diploma programs that provide you with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the ever-evolving media landscape. You will gain valuable experience by working as part of NAIT’s campus radio station (NR92) and television newsroom (NAIT NewsWatch) in modern studios and using industry standard digital equipment and labs.
In the Television program, you will explore all aspects of television production, from storytelling and scriptwriting to advanced videography and post-production techniques. You will learn how to create captivating visual content, operate professional-grade cameras and studio equipment, and produce high-quality broadcasts. The program also focuses on performance skills for both on-screen and behind-the-scenes roles, as well as strategies for creating content tailored to diverse audiences across traditional and digital platforms.
Graduates of the Television program are well-prepared to pursue careers as videographers, producers, editors, or digital content creators. Typical roles include editor, reporter, audio and camera operator. By learning from highly qualified professionals with years of industry experience, you will be prepared to make an impact in the television and media production fields.
