Radio & Television - Radio

The Radio and Television – Radio program delivers intensive hands-on training through a non-traditional approach, providing students with experience in all operational aspects of broadcast media. Along with instructor-led lectures and classroom study, students will also take on job functions at the NAIT radio station, NR92. Students will have the opportunity to apply skills from five major areas: announcing, news distributing, writing, selling and producing. In this unique learning environment, students focus on achieving a professional level of performance and content.

Students broadcast live on the campus station, NR92, nine hours a day, Monday to Friday, from the on-air booth in the Radio and Television Department or from the station's various remote locations found on campus. International, national, local and NAIT news coverage is included. Also, in Semester 3, students produce a weekly half-hour news magazine show targeted directly at NAIT students. Listen to NR92 at www.nr92.com

The Radio and Television – Radio program has two intakes per year:

  • September start
