Computers play an ever-increasing role in every segment of modern society. Growing demand and advances in miniature, solid-state microprocessor technology have sparked the development of smaller, less expensive, more powerful computers and increased the need for well-trained technical personnel.
The program is structured on a lecture/lab format with extensive hands-on experience. Topics for instruction are broken down into core subjects and options. Core subjects must be taken by all students. Options allow a degree of specialization. NAIT reserves the right to alter or change options.
Year 1 of the program emphasizes a heavy electronic component. Graduates will possess skills in both hardware and software applications.
The Computer Engineering Technology program offers both fall and winter intakes.
