The International Society of Automation (ISA) defines instrumentation as "the art and science of measurement and control." It involves using and/or working with instruments which range from simple mechanical float level controls to complex computer-based modelling systems.
This program, with two intakes, one in August and the other in January, concentrates on the industrial instrumentation necessary to automate Alberta industries. It includes detailed study of the principles and application of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer measurement and control systems.
