NAIT named Alberta Top Employer for 13th consecutive year

Published on January 30, 2024

NAIT has been recognized as one of Alberta’s top employers for the 13th straight year. The polytechnic’s continual commitment to employee growth and career progression is cited as a key factor in making NAIT an exceptional place to work.

NAIT’s extensive training and professional development program offers multiple opportunities for staff to enhance their skill sets and carve out a path for career advancement. Mentorship programs and peer-to-peer support groups, leadership development courses, and a thorough performance enhancement program are all geared to supporting staff who are looking to grow in their fields or transfer their skills to another department or business area. Additionally, NAIT’s employee tuition benefit program enables staff to pursue further education and credentials allowing them to enhance their skills, knowledge and careers.

Other reasons noted by Alberta’s Top Employer judges include:

  • Supporting employees with family-friendly policies, including a variety of flexible work arrangements to help employees balance their personal commitments and discounted tuition rates for children of employees.
  • Helping employees plan for the future with a defined benefit pension plan and several practical financial benefits, including discounted auto lease rates and home and auto insurance.

Alberta’s Top Employer is an annual competition that recognizes 80 provincial employers who offer exceptional places to work. Workplaces are not ranked in any particular order. NAIT has been named a top employer each year since 2012.

“NAIT is both delighted and humbled to be named an Alberta Top Employer for the 13th consecutive year. We’re proud to offer a workplace that encourages work-life balance, creativity, professional and personal growth, innovation, and so much more.  Our workplace culture is built around our values of collaboration, accountability, celebration, respect and creativity.
