The Advanced Carpentry Technology diploma is an exciting opportunity to earn the technical and career-ready skills you need to succeed as a carpenter in the construction industry. This two-year diploma is an alternative pathway into the carpentry trade without having to be a registered apprentice first.
In this program, you will focus on theory and hands-on training with the materials and processes required to construct, renovate and repair residential and commercial buildings and structures. You will also have the opportunity to explore new and emerging technologies and systems such as High-Performance Energy Efficient building systems and trade related software.
Future Apprenticeship Pathways

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada.
