Advanced Welding Technology

The Advanced Welding Technology diploma combines advanced technical knowledge, welding skills and exposure to modern technologies to give graduates a competitive edge in their welding career.

This two-year program provides hands-on training in fabrication, product innovation and inspection methods, equipping you with foundational skills that are in high demand. Students will gain the leadership skills necessary to excel in the welding industry.

Growing demand in environmental industries and infrastructure repair, along with the increasing rate of retirements among experienced welders, means graduates will have diverse career opportunities in welding, fabrication and industrial construction. 

Future Apprenticeship Pathways

NAIT’s trade diploma programs offer practical, hands-on education, combining technical training with applied learning and industry-relevant experience. For students interested in pursuing an apprenticeship pathway in the future, additional assessments or requirements through Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) may apply depending on the trade and apprenticeship stream.
