Are you passionate about designing innovative, sustainable buildings that shape the world around us? NAIT’s Architectural Technology program prepares you to turn creative ideas into functional, efficient, and technically sound buildings. Architectural technologists play a vital role on design and construction teams, translating architectural concepts into technical drawings, models, and specifications to bring conceptual projects to life.
In this program, you will develop skills in architectural design, drafting, CAD, and Building Information Modeling (BIM), while exploring key aspects of building systems. Students will learn how factors such as building orientation and site analysis influence design decisions. You will focus on building science and sustainable building practices that enable high-performance buildings, while gaining practical experience contributing to the design of residential, commercial, institutional, and public spaces.
Graduates are prepared for diverse careers with architectural firms, engineering consultants, construction companies, developers, public-sector organizations, home builders, and manufacturers contributing to the creation of functional, sustainable, and inspiring built environments.

At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
