About the program

The Electrical Installations Technology diploma is a unique opportunity to get the technical and career essential skills you need to succeed in the electrical industry. It’s also an alternative pathway into apprenticeship training.

The program focuses on hands-on training required to install, repair and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial environments. You will also gain theoretical knowledge to effectively communicate and interpret electrical drawings, graphs, and the Canadian Electrical Code Part I.

After completing this program, you can find opportunities in residential, commercial and industrial construction, or as a purchaser and estimator in electrical installation services. Graduates can enter an apprenticeship and complete on-the-job apprenticeship hours to receive an Electrician Journeyperson's certificate.

Take charge of a future in the electrical trades with NAIT’s Electrical Installations diploma.
