NAIT’s Engineering Design Technology program will provide you with the theoretical and practical training that will serve as the foundation for an exciting career as an engineering design technologist.

Engineering design technologists play a key role in the development of construction, infrastructure and manufacturing projects by creating detailed drawings and drafts that bridge the gap between concept and practical implementation. They work in key industries such as engineering consulting, construction, fabrication and manufacturing. 

In NAIT’s two-year program, you will learn how to create engineering drawings and 3D models using traditional methods and the latest computer-aided design and drafting software. You will become adept at preparing and interpreting design and working drawings and using major CAD software such as AutoCad and MicroStation.
