About the program

Interior Design Technologists translate design concepts into technical drawings that ultimately result in the creation of the built environment. They work closely with interior designers, architects, contractors and clients to turn design ideas into functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

In this program, you will learn the relationships between functional, technical and aesthetic elements in interior environments. You will be trained in identifying and selecting products and materials, construction methods, building services and more to meet design objectives. You will also learn how to create detailed technical drawings and models to visualize floor plans and construction drawings, using traditional free-hand techniques and modern computer assisted drawing (CAD) software.

If you have creativity, an interest in drawing, an aptitude for three-dimensional thinking and a strong desire to learn how interior spaces are constructed, this is the program for you.
