About the program

Medical radiologic technology uses diagnostic X-ray images to assess injuries and diseases. X-rays are performed in various settings, including diagnostic imaging departments, operating rooms, emergency departments, intensive care units, and clinics.

NAIT’s Medical Radiologic Technology program trains you in X-ray imaging, patient care, quality control, and radiation safety. You'll gain hands-on experience working alongside physicians, technologists and healthcare teams during your clinical placement, preparing you for a vital role in this dynamic field.

As a graduate, you can work in general radiography and pursue specialized areas such as CT, angiography and mammography. With your degree, you can work anywhere in Canada. You can also take the American exam to work in the United States or overseas.

Our comprehensive two-year program combines in-person instruction, virtual classes, and hands-on clinical training to ensure you're fully equipped for a successful career as a medical radiologic technologist.
