Proof of enrolment
Until final grades are available, previous level final marks will be used to assess eligibility for admission into NAIT programs. NAIT can evaluate previous grades using a proof of enrolment. Applicants are notified in their application's To-Do List in MyNAIT Portal if proof of enrolment is required.
- Applicants enrolled in prerequisite courses outside of NAIT, in a future semester, may be required to provide proof of enrolment in the courses required for admission if their previous grades are insufficient.
- Until final grades are available, previous level final marks will be used to assess eligibility once the proof of enrolment is provided.
If a proof of enrolment has been requested, applications will be cancelled if the proof of enrolment are not submitted by the deadline on the MyNAIT Portal or by the application deadline, whichever comes first. Proof of enrolment submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted.
Acceptable proof of enrolment documents*
- Completed Proof of Enrolment form (PDF)
- Official reporting software used by school divisions (PowerSchool, SchoolZone)
- E-class schedule
- Receipt of purchase for class(es)
- Transcripts with future subjects indicated
- Letter from school reflecting enrolment in upcoming class(es)
In all cases, the school name must be indicated either electronically, on school letterhead or with a school stamp.
Current high school students outside Canada
If you’re an international applicant and currently in high school outside of Canada, you can submit a form listing your current classes to be considered for conditional admission. To view form and learn more, view the International Documents requirements.
Progress report
A progress report will reflect current grades for applicants who are currently taking prerequisite courses outside of NAIT or in their current semester. If a progress report is required, you will be notified on your application's To-Do List in MyNAIT Portal.
If a progress report has been requested, applications will be cancelled if the progress report showing a sufficient grade is not submitted by the deadline on your MyNAIT Portal or by the application deadline, whichever comes first. Progress reports submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted.
When the previous grade level or previous attempts of a course show an insufficient grade for admission, a progress report showing an acceptable grade is required for applicants who are currently taking prerequisite courses outside of NAIT.
Acceptable progress report documents*
- Completed Proof of Enrolment form (PDF)
- Official electronic marks reporting software used by school divisions (PowerSchool, SchoolZone)
- Transcripts with current courses and grades
- Letter from school reflecting current grades
In all cases, the school name must be indicated either electronically, on school letterhead or with a school stamp.
All grades submitted in the progress report must show the current grade in the course(s).
* All documents must include the student name, start/end date or term, and school name
Final grades
All final grades are verified upon receipt of final transcripts. If you fail to complete the course indicated on the proof of enrolment or progress report, or if the final grades do not meet minimum/competitive requirements, NAIT will cancel your application.
If you have been offered conditional acceptance to a NAIT program and your final transcripts are not received, or the final grades do not meet minimum/competitive requirements, your offer of admission will be revoked.
